Djembe movement performance group

Djembe Movement Australia presents traditional West African music.  Telling age old stories whilst entertaining audiences through high energy drumming, song and dance. We educate through the spirit of West African culture to uplift and inspire. Lead by acclaimed, multi-instrumentalist and master drummer Amadou Kalissa, who was born into the musician’s family with over 26 year’s experience. This dynamic group delivers passionate and uplifting percussion, married with spirited dance celebrating the joyous refuge of music.
